      THREE YEARS WITHOUT A CONTRACT

      Members of the Medford Police Patrolmen's Association and Medford Police Superior Officer's Association gathered outside the Montavale Plaza in Stoneham on Thursday September 14. 2017 in a show of solidarity against poor working conditions and the lack of a successor agreement between the City and the two Unions.  Both Unions are currently working three years without a contract.

      WELCOME ABOARD

      Congratulations to Michael Bordanaro, Keith Conway, and Padraig Calnan.  The three new Officers graduated from the Boston Police Academy, Class 56-16 on Wednesday June 21, 2017 at a ceremony at Local 103 IBEW's Union Hall in Boston.  They were later officially sworn in at Medford City Hall.   We wish them well as they begin their careers in Law Enforcement.

      The Medford Police Relief Association is currently conducting a fundraiser with assistance from All Pro Productions.  The Relief Association provides assistance to Police Officer's families in the event of an Officer's death.

      MPPA Pickets City Hall Over Working Conditions

      Members of the Medford Police Patrolmen's Association stood in the rain Tuesday night (11/30/16) to send a clear message that they are fed up with the deplorable working conditions at Police Headquarters.  Holding picket signs that said "Enough is Enough...Fix It!!!" the MPPA sent the message to City Hall that the time to fix things at 100 Main Street is now.

      The Medford Police Patrolmen's Association recently had Compensatory Time restored after an almost eight month battle with Mayor Michael McGlynn.  The MPPA and City of Medford had reached a Settlement Agreement to resolve a pending 2011 arbitration case in regards to the accumulation and use of Compensatory Time.
