      FUNDRAISER BROTHERHOOD FOR THE FALLEN - BOSTON

      The Boston Chapter of BROTHERHOOD FOR THE FALLEN has organized a fundraiser for Saturday November 18, 2017.  The event will take place at the IBEW Local 103 Hall, 256 Freeport Street, Dorchester beginning at 7:00 PM and ending at 11:00 PM.  There is a $30.00 admission fee that includes live music featuring Bearfight, hors d'oeuvres, raffles, and a cash bar.

      The Medford Police Patrolmen's Association endorsed the following candidates at an October 19th meeting for the unpcoming November 7th City Election. Mayor - David J. McKillop Sr. City Council - Natalie Breen, Michael J. Marks, and Remo "Ray" Scarfo. The MPPA believes these candidates will make Public Safety a top priority.

      THREE YEARS WITHOUT A CONTRACT

      Members of the Medford Police Patrolmen's Association and Medford Police Superior Officer's Association gathered outside the Montavale Plaza in Stoneham on Thursday September 14. 2017 in a show of solidarity against poor working conditions and the lack of a successor agreement between the City and the two Unions.  Both Unions are currently working three years without a contract.

      WELCOME ABOARD

      Congratulations to Michael Bordanaro, Keith Conway, and Padraig Calnan.  The three new Officers graduated from the Boston Police Academy, Class 56-16 on Wednesday June 21, 2017 at a ceremony at Local 103 IBEW's Union Hall in Boston.  They were later officially sworn in at Medford City Hall.   We wish them well as they begin their careers in Law Enforcement.

      The Medford Police Patrolmen's Association recently had Compensatory Time restored after an almost eight month battle with Mayor Michael McGlynn.  The MPPA and City of Medford had reached a Settlement Agreement to resolve a pending 2011 arbitration case in regards to the accumulation and use of Compensatory Time.
