Members of the Medford Police Patrolmen's Association and Medford Police Superior Officer's Association gathered outside the Montavale Plaza in Stoneham on Thursday September 14. 2017 in a show of solidarity against poor working conditions and the lack of a successor agreement between the City and the two Unions. Both Unions are currently working three years without a contract. Medford Police Officers also reminded the Mayor that they are working in deplorable conditions with minimal improvements.
The Mayor is seeking re-election and has promised that a new police station is in the works. That promise is unfortunatley going on two years without much progress except an artist's rendition of what a new station might look like.
The Mayor's fundraiser asked for suggested donations of $100 - $250 - $500 - $1000.
